Signal Local, by Signal Marketing
Signal Local is the software Signal Marketing uses to run its clients’ Google Business Profiles. It schedules posts and photos, replies to reviews, checks where each business ranks on Google Maps and turns it into a plain monthly report.
Signal Local is for Signal Marketing’s team and clients. There’s nothing to sign up for here.
What it does
Posts and photos go out on a schedule, written in the business’s own tone. Nothing is published to a profile until the business has connected it.
New Google reviews get a reply that follows each business’s own rules. Reviews about money or legal matters, and any star rating the business wants checked, wait for a person to approve the reply.
We check where the business shows up on Google Maps from a grid of points around it, search by search, so everyone can see what’s improving.
Calls, direction requests and website clicks from Google, plus rankings and reviews, in one plain report the owner can open from a private link.
Connecting a profile
When a business works with Signal Marketing, we send the owner a link. It takes about a minute, and they can remove us at any time.
The link comes from Signal Marketing by email, WhatsApp or text.
Google asks them to allow Signal Local to manage their Business Profile, then they pick the business we look after.
Signal Marketing becomes a manager on that profile only. They keep ownership, and their Google sign-in isn’t stored.
Google data
Signal Local connects to Google through the Google Business Profile APIs. It asks for one Google permission, to manage Business Profiles (business.manage), plus the name and email address of the person signing in, so we know who connected.
To help write review replies and posts, the review text and business details involved are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic. They’re used only to produce that text, under terms that don’t allow them to be used for training AI models.
A business can remove Signal Marketing as a manager in its Business Profile settings, or remove Signal Local’s access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To have its data deleted, email team@signal.marketing.
Signal Local’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
